Markku Malkamäki, Dr.Sc, Managing Partner of Northern Star, is heading the Multi-Asset team. Markku started his career in 1989 at the Bank of Finland where he held several positions until 2000, including Head of Financial Market Policy Office and Senior Advisor. He has played a vital role in establishing Evli´s Bank banking business and electronic services when serving as Executive Vice President in 2000-2003. From 2004, Markku joined Pohjola Private Banking as Chief Executive Officer, where he was responsible for establishing the private banking business of Pohjola Bank and growing it from infant stages into a successful family office business with €3.4 billion of assets under management.
Markku is an author of an extensive list of publications and contributor to «Technological Innovation & Economic Performance, Princeton University Press 2002» and «Research in Banking and Finance, Elsevier Science Ltd, 2003».

Karri is responsible for managing Northern Star MG Relative Value fund.
Karri has over 20 years of experience on institutional-, corporate- and HNWI asset management at Nordea, Sampo Bank and with various asset management companies. He is former CEO and founding partner of Moongate Oy and CFM Contango Management Oy. He has worked as Portfolio Manager for MG Commodity, EPL Commodity and Contango commodity and Contango alpha fund. In early 2000, he was major market maker for Scandinavian exchange called Pulpex.
Karri has an MBA from University of San Fransisco.

Markus is responsible for assisting other team members in day to day tasks. He is documenting daily work processes, works as an IT support, updates CRM register and assist in preparing monthy fact sheets.
